Meet Steph
Stephany (Steph) Kaufman is the founder and principal of UPBEAT Growth. With 12+ years of experience spanning executive recruitment, sales, marketing, and brand strategy, she's shaped and grown brands from international corporations like KPMG to early-stage startups building from scratch.
She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in Digital Marketing & Media from the Katz School of Science & Health at Yeshiva University.

As early as elementary school, she was teaching herself Photoshop and HTML, blogging on Xanga, and collecting classmates' email addresses to send out a weekly newsletter. Some people discover marketing — Steph was just always doing it.
In 2016, Steph left her Account Executive role at Indeed in NYC to travel the world. She started theupbeatpath.com, landed in Hanoi for two years, and discovered that the same skills that grew a travel blog could grow any brand.
That passion became a career, and that career became UPBEAT. Today, she's dedicated to helping founders and leadership teams cut through the noise and build marketing systems that drive real, sustainable growth.
Beyond client work, Steph is on a mission to demystify marketing — sharing real strategies, mentoring young women through YU's Women's Professional Network, and proving that you don't need a massive team or budget to build a brand that matters.
